Rhizom 24 – Sachlichkeit (Objectivity)
The 24th instalment of the student magazine Rhizom was published in 2017 regarding Objectivity. The cover featured a Moiré-effect which made it seem like the title was moving.
Every student who was part of the project had eight pages they could use to write about a related topic while also developing the layout. I wrote about Lucid Dreaming and about how it could be a tool used by designers to gain more creative ideas. I also added a self-written poem.

In meinem Garten
Im Traume seh’ ich oft dieselben Dinge,
die auch im Leben meine Seele rühr’n;
Dann lausch’ ich Vögeln und ich geh’ spazier’n
im Garten meiner eig’nen Illusion.
Ich kann, wenn ich es wünsche, stundenlang
den Klängen meiner fremden Welt nur lauschen,
bevor ich, wenn ich des Blickes müde bin,
zurück in meine eig’ne Fremde tauche.
Mal fürcht’ ich mich, mal fühl’ ich mich geborgen,
in dieser selbsterschaffnen Welt zu wandeln;
doch find’ ich dort, wo meine Wünsche weilen
Antworten auf ungestellte Fragen.
In my garden
In dreams, I often see the same things,
That move my soul in life, too;
I listen then to birds and I go out walking
In the garden of my own illusion.
I can, if so I wish, for endless hours
listen to the sounds of my peculiar world,
before I, when weary of the sight,
I dive back into my own unfamiliar realm.
At times I am afraid, at others I feel safe,
To wander in this self-created world;
But there I find, where my desires dwell
answers to unasked questions.
